A wandering musician, songwriter and performer with an intense live activity behind him.Featuring a hot and scratchy voice, his musical journey began with the blues, but his recurring relations with artists from various genres - including reggae, rock, ska - allowed him to have an important cultural background and to learn and work on different vocal techniques.
Passion and sensitivity blend into his rhythmical skills, creating a strong emotional feeling in his live performances. His artistic path began in 1990, in various bands of Sardinia.
In 1994 Sergio created "Le Blinde": this project was able to blend sounds and rhythms ranging from ethno-rock to a kind of blues with distinct hints at the gipsy style. In 2002 he founded "Tamurita" and immediately became the band’s frontman. Thereafter, followed 10 years of intense activity: in 2005, the band joined the cast of the TV show " Come il calcio sui maccheroni (Like football on macaroni) on Videolina TV. On new year's Eve 2006, he had the opportunity to sing with Kid Creole and the Coconuts and Roy Paci & Aretuska. In 2006 Tamurita released their first album: "Tierra, desierto y sal", labeled CNI.
The band started a national tour where Sergio shared the stage with Almamegretta, Sud Sound System, Dub Sync. In June 2009, the second album “Palabras de amor” was ready, and the mix was assigned to Madaski (Africa Unite). In the same year, the band took part to the World Ichnusa Festival of Cagliari with the single "Palabras de Amor", sung together with Sud Sound System. In June 2011, they published a new single, “Notte di luce”, distributed by L'Unione Sarda newspaper.
In April, they published the new single and Music Video for the song "Dans la musique" with Mark Wallis (Mano Negra, U2, TalkingHeads, The Smiths, Marvin Gaye, R.E.M., Travis, Desmond Dekker ...), Ska-P and Vallanzaska as guest artists. The year 2012, between festivals and concerts, was full of new meetings: Sergio had the chance to hit the stage with artists such as Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Malika Ayane, Casino Royale, Frankie Hi Energy, Negrita and Francesco Renga. It was a year marked by an intense artistic production: the Tamurita project got to its third album. Its title track was featured by Beppe Dettori ... from this meeting came out an intense artistic tuning that would lead to the creation of the project "Voices”.
